Electricity and heat co-generation

Electricity and heat co-generation is combined electricity and heat production, when heat is generated at the same time as electricity to be supplied to individuals or legal entities and for technological purposes.

In Elektrárny Opatovice, a.s., electricity is produced in 60MW turbo-generators, 10.5 kV outlet voltage transformed into 110 kV voltage and transported via power grid of the distribution company.

Heat is supplied by means of hot water to the Cities of Hradec Králové, Pardubice, Chrudim and other smaller sectors within the area of the above mentioned locations.
