Products and Services

Elektrárny Opatovice, a.s. (hereinafter referred to as „EOP“) is currently an active participant in the electricity market. We are mainly focused on the wholesale market, where we supply electricity and provide regulation services.

1. Power
   • For the purposes of trading in the market EOP is a subject of settlement at the Operátor trhu s elektřinou, a.s. (hereinafter referred to as „OTE“, translated as Electricity market operator).
   • Our business partners portfolio represents local Czech and foreign subjects, with which EOP trades on bilateral basis and also via broker and power exchange platforms (e.g. TFS).
2. Ancillary services
   • EOP is a key and reliable supplier of ancillary services for transmission system operator ČEPS. We provide the following rotary regulation services:
     • primary regulation
     • secondary regulation
     • positive tertiary regulation
     • negative tertiary regulation

   EOP electricity generation is environmentally friendly
   The most significant EOP merit is combined electricity and heat generation saving up to one third of fuel compared to typical condensing power stations.
