Offer of district heating

Elektrárny Opatovice, a.s. is one of the largest power generation companies in the Czech Republic producing, distributing and selling heat. Currently, we supply heat to more than 59,000 households and a few hundred customers operating in the field of industry, commerce, sport, medical care, culture, and administration in the cities of Hradec Králové, Pardubice, Chrudim, Lázně Bohdaneč and a few other municipalities.

 

Heat is environmentally-friendly product

Heat has been produced in Opatovice since the mid-1970' s. Centralized heat production and the diminished number of individually heated buildings have significantly improved the air quality in the Cities of Hradec Králové, Pardubice and Chrudim. The operation of power plant is strictly monitored, and its effective emission control techniques keep the emission levels under the set limits.
The heat source at Elektrárny Opatovice, a.s. is fully desulphurized and meets the most rigorous environmental and economical criteria.

Reliable heat supply

The operation of the district heating network is constantly monitored, therefore any leaks are being quickly repaired. The outages of the plant are planned for maintenance purposes and last only for a couple of hours to secure the reliable heat supply.
