Pulverised Fuel Ash (PFA)
Characteristics
Lignite combustion product, cellular solid phase of grain size up to 0 - 1000 mm., powder density 750 - 950 kg/m3, chemically inert material mainly consisting of SiO2 and Al2O3, the content of unburnt elements of 1% of mass in the maximum.
Examples of application
Production of porous concrete, mortar, asphalt hydro-insulating lining, cement, PFA is certified under ČSN EN 450, fly ash for concrete production. Technical parameters for other applications are set by Company Standards.
Production capacity
The PFA is supplied in a dry state by pneumatic discharge from silos into the standard cistern trucks. Annual production amounts to approximately 290,000 tones. It is possible to take off up to 180 tones per hour from dispatching silos of size 1,700 tones, which corresponds to six cistern trucks.
